Iguanas need high levels of humidity (around 70%). Their native habitats (rainforest) have high humidity which keeps iguanas hydrated. If the level of humidity is too low, they can get dehydrated since iguanas aren’t really inclined to drink much water. This can lead to kidney disease and poor shedding. It is our duty, as pet owners, to replicate their natural environment as much as possible in captivity.

Also, don’t forget that there is such thing as too much humidity. Enclosure needs to have a dry period during the day as well because if it’s overly moist you can have fungal/bacterial growth in the cage, and you don’t want that.

There are 4 spray nozzle components included but this humidifier can connect up to 20 spray nozzles (you can order them separately from seller’s Amazon store) to work simultaneously!
Voltage of the unit is auto-sensing and compatible with 110-240VAC.
Word of warning (applies to all similar devices, though): use distilled or RO water since nozzles can eventually get clogged or spraying differently due to mineral deposits if you use just tap water.
You can use it with external timer or humidistat, just make sure that you set the “cycle” time of humidifier to ‘0’.

Pros
- Easy to set up. It should take you less than 15 minutes. Nozzles can be turned in pretty much any direction.
- Comes with a tube cutter (a nice bonus)
- Easy refill design, no need to remove water bucket.
- Large capacity – it should work for a week without refilling.
- Nice looking.
Cons
- You need to use at least 3 of the nozzles. The output could blow if only one or two of the sprayers are used
- Few users complained that it’s a bit noisy, although many others say that it’s quiet.
- Occasional dripping from the nozzles.
- Duration knob could be of better quality.
- No remote function.
In order to control humidity, you’d also need a device called hygrometer. Often, these devices are combined with thermometer, making it ‘thermo-hygrometer’. It’s good to get two of them and place one in the higher area of the enclosure, while placing the other one lower, in the cool spot. This way, you will be able to track the humidity and temperature in different parts of the enclosure.
