Grand Cayman iguana

Also called blue iguana (guess why), is endangered species of iguana that once was widely spread across the Grand Cayman island. But, human factor, as well as cats and dogs, have decimated this beautiful creature, heaviest of all iguanas. In 2005. this species was considered functionally extinct in the wilderness, but few hundreds of animals, raised in captivity were released. In 2012, it was estimated that around 750 blue iguanas were living in the wild.
